KRAL AG now also offers its precision measuring devices down to -40 °C for test stands in cold chambers.

Components and assemblies are tested in cold chambers at temperatures down to -40 °C. The Austrian KRAL AG equips its KRAL Volumeter with electronic sensors that are suitable for such deep temperatures on request. The upper limit lies at +200 °C. Even at measurements in extreme cold the special advantages of the "Screw" measuring method compared to other measuring methods such as "Gear" or "Coriolis" remains. These are in particular the high measuring precision of ± 0.1% of the measured value as well as the measuring range of 1:100. The wide measuring range allows the passing through of wide characteristic curves during the functional testing of hydraulic components, for example of the control valves of aircraft, helicopters and vehicles. If a smaller measuring range is accepted, for example, when using gearwheel meters, the overall measuring range has to be covered by using two different sizes. This measuring concept is expensive and furthermore increases the measuring error of the overall system through the use of two flowmeters instead of one.
