United Arab Shipping Company Signs up to ShipServ

ShipServ, the leading marine and offshore e-marketplace with $3bn of annual trade, has built further on its trusted position among container shipping lines with the signing of United Arab Shipping Company (UASC).

The global carrier is currently responsible for the technical management of one of the youngest fleets in the industry. UASC is also engaged in a major newbuilding program comprising of 17 new ships; eleven 15,000 TEU vessels and six 18,800 TEU vessels. These vessels will be among the most eco-efficient and environmentally friendly container vessels in the world.

UASC selected ShipServ based on the strength of its ability to offer advanced sourcing and procurement tools alongside its core offering of enhanced transaction speeds and improved purchasing efficiency. 

These advanced tools and services include ShipServ Match, an automated supplier recommendation service, and a KPI benchmarking tool that provides specific purchasing KPIs based on the trading activities of over 9,000 vessels. 

UASC will connect via its Spectec AMOS procurement software.
