Human Rights at Sea Announces "Business and Human Rights" Conference
Human Rights at Sea is delighted to announce the launch of the second International Maritime Human Rights Conference (IMHR) covering the key topic of maritime business and human rights.
Following the success of the inaugural IMHR conference that took place in London in September 2016 titled: “Respect, Responsibility and Remedy in the Maritime Environment,” the charity’s second conference will take place on Monday, October 29, 2018 at The Fishmongers’ Hall, London. The venue is home of The Fishmongers' Company, one of the Twelve Great Livery Companies of the City of London, and among the most ancient of the City Guilds.
This year’s conference theme will focus on the timely and topical theme of maritime business and human rights, with a particular focus on providing companies with up-to-date background business and human rights information triggering pertinent business discussions and highlighting voluntary tools for further achieving ongoing and lasting change supporting return on investment.
The second IMHR conference will continue to follow the original theme, with the aim of further expanding the increasingly common maritime business and human rights discussion first started by Human Rights at Sea in 2014.
