HHI - Hyundai Heavy Industries / Korea - was awarded the EPC-contract for the Aasta Hansteen Platform from Statoil January 2013.

The gas and condensate field Aasta Hansteen (previously named Luva, 6707/10-1) is found 320 km west of Bodø. Statoil is operator of the Aasta Hansteen licence. The planned field development includes a SPAR platform, which will be the first such installation on the Norwegian continental shelf. SPAR is a floating installation consisting of a vertical column moored to the seabed. The installation features conventional topsides with processing facilities, for which PG shall at this occasion contribute with deliveries of production enhancing process equipment.

PG’s first order for Aasta Hansteen was to design, engineer, build, test and deliver a large, containerized Chemical Injection Module (CIP) based on our highly recognized solutions provided to Statoil at several other occasions.

The Aasta Hansteen CIP Module will have 10 chemical segregations, with its individual pumps, and is built containerized similar to Gjøa, Valemon and Mariner, measuring in at approx. 10x5,5x4,5m @ 90T operational weight, with HVAC and automation for safe operations.
