Container Ship Hits Pier in India

A CMA CGM container ship hit a jetty at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port on Saturday.

Both the vessel CMA CGM Mumbai and the pier were damaged, but no one was injured.

Local media reports indicate there was a fault in the steering system that prevented the ship from turning.

The 10,100 TEU, 2018-built vessel had sailed from Pakistan.
