VETUS

For the eighth time in nine years, a VETUS product is nominated for the prestigious DAME AWARD; the design award in the marine industry.

This year the nomination is for the HPW series; a heavy duty waterlock with very unique characteristics. Made from NAVIDURIN®, HPW series waterlocks are temperature resistant up to 260? C and outperform standard GRP materials by 170 percent! NAVIDURIN® is proof of our commitment to create innovative solutions.

It is a proprietary composite polymer blend that is optimized for use in marine exhaust systems. The combination of additives brings a unique set of properties that outperforms traditional materials (used in the most demanding environment on board) on critical values. Because of this material, HPW series waterlocks are more durable, lighter, longer lasting and have a higher resistance to heat and pressure. These waterlocks are perfect for applications where the system is put to the test, such as commercial, high-performance or coastguard vessels. With eight nominations in nine years, VETUS manages to accomplish something that no other company in the business ever did before! The diversity of products that have been nominated makes it even more special. With this accomplishment we can justifiably claim to be the “Creator of Boat Systems”!

The organization presents eight awards in total. There are seven category winners and one overall winner. The HPW series is nominated in the category:
‘Machinery, Propulsion, mechanical and electrical systems and fittings’

The Award will be presented at the opening day at METS on November 14, 2017.
