Northern Lights Welcomes New Global Sales Manager

Northern Lights, a leading manufacturer of marine power generation and climate control products, announces the appointment of Kit Purdy as Global Sales Manager.

His responsibilities will include day-to-day management of the sales department and staff, as well as strategically assisting all Northern Lights branches in all market segments – recreational and commercial marine and industrial products.

Kit’s passion for engines and being on the water began as a child growing up on Bainbridge Island, WA. His love of mechanics took him to Phoenix where he received his degree from Universal Technical Institute for diesel engines. Kit returned to Seattle and started a successful charter bus company. After selling the charter company, he entered the trucking industry, working for Freightliner Corporation and then International Truck Dealerships. He has attended sales, equipment and executive leadership programs including DePaul University and Disney Institutes Leadership Excellence program.

Kit’s dedication and understanding of the needs of clients, paired with his extensive knowledge of the mechanics of the products, is the perfect match to find the right equipment to help make companies more successful. He brings that same passion and dedication to Northern Lights. Kit, his wife Gina and their dog Bella Marina share a love of the water and are avid boaters. They currently own a Grady White and a Chris Craft. A 100-ton licensed captain, Kit and his family have cruised and fished the waters of the Pacific Northwest, Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska and Canada.
