In response to customer demand, Haven has extended its spot market booking for ocean and air services into a fully-automated platform for freight procurement. Track and trace using AIS (Automatic Identification System) technology turns ships into an important part of the "internet of things," bringing real-time location data directly to customers who need increased visibility into their supply chain.

The expansion of Haven's automated booking platform advances the freight industry by reducing operating expenses and overhead costs for shippers and carriers alike. Shippers of all sizes leverage Haven's large aggregate order volume to achieve the best possible price and seamless execution via convenient online tools.

"Track and Trace gives our customers supply chain visibility while automated procurement enables customers to focus on their core business instead of sourcing freight," said Matthew Tillman, Haven CEO. "Haven is committed to using technology in new ways to help our customers to improve margins and operate more effectively."

The addition of track and trace visibility complements Haven's existing capabilities, enabling a global customer base of shippers to easily procure capacity from hundreds of the world's leading logistics providers.
