Dann Marine Towing Hires Marine Business Management

Dann Marine Towing is pleased to announce that Marine Business Management, LLC has been engaged to develop and manage our growing Engine Program. Specifically, Larry Hawes, the former Executive Director of Marine for Cummins Power Systems will be creating a program to manage the expanding needs of our Fleet including Engine and Genset purchases, Service capabilities, Parts sourcing and Relationships with Key Manufacturers and Supply Partners.

Robert, JC and Christopher Dann, along with their talented Team, have grown the Business and Fleet substantially over the past 15 years. Given this growth, there is a clear need to formalize and manage the engines and gensets to maximize the life, minimize downtime and continue to provide a high level of service to their loyal customer base. In addition, this strategic alliance will support Dann Marine Towing’s plan to acquire additional vessels, build new vessels and maintain the highest Fleet standards.

Dann Marine Towing is a fifth generation family owned and operated tugboat company, managing a fleet of 20 ocean going tugboats and inland push boats. These vessels range in horsepower from 1100 H.P. to 4400H.P. The fleet operates on the US East Coast, Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, and South America, as well as on the Great Lakes. All vessels in the fleet are equipped with the latest navigation and communication equipment available today. Each vessel is staffed by qualified and professional crews. In addition to the vessels, Dann Marine Towing has a fleet of Tank, Jumbo Hopper barges and deck barges, as well as two self-unloading cement barges that are available for charter.
