PALFINGER MARINE to Expand Worldwide Presence Due to Unabated Growth

Published Jun 10, 2013 2:21 PM by The Maritime Executive

Due to impressive growth, PALFINGER MARINE is planning to significantly expand its sales network. New sales offices are to be opened or expanded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Houston, USA, and Singapore. These new locations will allow PALFINGER MARINE to have a presence in the growth markets and establish and maintain intensive relations with existing and potential customers. The new sales offices are of major strategic importance, as this is the best way for the company to serve the strong growth markets of South America and Asia. The expansion of an existing production factory in Poland and the strengthening of existing partnerships in Korea and Brazil also take into account the excellent order situation. PALFINGER MARINE’s overall concept includes a global network of service partners that is to be expanded in Asia and South America as well. Further acquisitions are planned to provide optimal additions to the product range.

Headed for success with a strong, new company structure
The successful integration of PALFINGER DREGGEN and PALFINGER NED-DECK is contributing to the unabated growth. At Nor-Shipping, the most important trade fair in Oslo, the strong PALFINGER MARINE brand was successful in positioning itself as the leading manufacturer worldwide of customized marine and offshore cranes as well as launch and recovery systems. There was a high level of interest in PALFINGER MARINE products, and attendance at the 60 m2 booth was excellent. Karl Oberreiter and Thomas Nitsch, both Head of PALFINGER MARINE, were impressed with what they saw. "The first ever presentation of our new company structure under the PALFINGER MARINE brand at Nor-Shipping was a complete success. Positioning ourselves as a leading manufacturer worldwide of innovative and customized marine, offshore cranes and launch and recovery systems is the right strategy," said a satisfied Karl Oberreiter.
