Cruise Critic, an influential website and innovator of consumer-oriented cruise travel news, has recognized Norwegian Cruise Line with two Editors’ Pick Awards.  Norwegian’s newest and most innovative ship, Norwegian Breakaway, was the recipient of the prestigious “Best New Ship” award, and the fleet was recognized for “Best Inside Cabins” for their innovative Studio staterooms.

Awarded “Best New Ship,” Norwegian Breakaway was described by the editors as offering “smartly innovative features, such as the Waterfront, which moves dining and drinks outside for sea views.”  The site also highlighted the ship’s New York City-theme, wide array of dining options and adventurous features, explaining that Norwegian Breakaway “kicks action up a notch with its high-flying ropes course/zip line as well as four waterslides.”

Norwegian was also honored for their award-winning Studio staterooms for solo-travelers, available on Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Epic, Pride of America and Norwegian Getaway, coming in February 2014.  Cruise Critic commended the line for “putting serious thought into its studios, packing a lot into the small but uber-functional space. The decor is hip, the layout is well designed and passengers in these cabins have exclusive access to the exclusive studio lounge area.”
