ShipServ, the leading marine and offshore e-marketplace, has built further on its trusted position among marine and offshore supply vessel operators with the signing of EMAS.

The Singapore-based company signed with ShipServ on the strength of its pedigree in the marine and offshore supply market, and was attracted by the ability to minimize the administration costs, automate its vessel procurement process and improve sourcing through its new ShipServ Match service, which automatically recommends suppliers based on trading activity, marketing profiles and buyer reviews.

EMAS intends to use ShipServ for the procurement activities of 10 of EMAS’ construction vessels in a first phase of implementation.

Sharon Gill, VP of Sales for ShipServ said: “We are delighted to welcome such a major offshore service provider to the ShipServ community and that they chose us based on our new suite of decision support tools such as ShipServ Match that are proven to help purchasers to reduce costs and save time.”

Jean Francois Penverne, Group SVP Supply Chain for EMAS, said: “EMAS is always on the lookout for the latest technology to enhance value for our clients. With a streamlined and automated procurement, we would be able to reduce time spent on administrative tasks, and focus more on delivering quality and savings for our customers.”

ShipServ now has over 15 offshore supply vessel owners and operators trading on ShipServ TradeNet.

Major offshore supply vessel owners and operators include AP Moller-Maersk, Atlantic Towing, DOF Management, Hornbeck Offshore Services, RK Offshore Management, REM Offshore, Seacor Offshore Management, Solstad Shipping, Tidewater Support Services Limited and Vroon.
