Laborde Products and C&C Marine and Repair have marked another milestone in their ten-vessel new construction program with the delivery of the M/V Capt. Pete Ciaramitaro to Southern Devall. The M/V Capt. Pete Ciaramitaro was built at C&C Marine and Repair's shipyard in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

Powered by twin Mitsubishi S12R Tier 4 engines rated at 1,260 horsepower and 1,600 RPM each, 2,520 horsepower combined, the M/V Capt. Pete Ciaramitaro runs a twin-screw propulsion configuration with onboard electrical needs met by two Laborde-supplied LPI-F45- 99KC-M generator sets.

The M/V Capt. Pete Ciaramitaro is the fifth vessel built under the ten-vessel program between C&C Marine and Repair and Laborde Products, and the first in the program delivered to Southern Devall. The program’s first four vessels were delivered to Canal Barge Company, including the M/V Mimsy H. Lindner and M/V Cabby H. Boone. The program's continued growth reflects the strength of the partnership between the two companies and their shared commitment to building dependable, purpose-built towboats suited to the rigors of commercial marine operations.

Laborde Products continues to serve as the propulsion partner for this program, supplying the Mitsubishi engines and generator sets while coordinating closely with C&C Marine and Repair at every stage of the build. The S12R Tier 4 platform remains a proven fit for inland towing service, delivering the horsepower, durability, and emissions performance the application demands.

"Every successful delivery comes down to teamwork from the earliest planning stages through commissioning," said Jared Legendre, Vice President of Sales at Laborde Products. "Coordinating closely with C&C Marine and Repair from the start made sure the propulsion package lined up with exactly what the vessel needed."
