W?rtsil? to Hold Active Daily Program at Posidonia 2016

Wärtsilä has arranged an extensive program of activities during the upcoming Posidonia 2016 conference and exhibition being held in Athens, Greece from June 6 to 10.

The company will have product and solution experts on hand each day at the Wärtsilä stand to discuss the company's latest technologies and innovations. Furthermore, on Tuesday, June 7 and Wednesday June 8, the company will host a Happy Hour reception on stand number 3.102 in Hall 3 commencing at 3 pm in the afternoon. The Happy Hours will have a central theme highlighting two of Wärtsilä's areas of competence; Ship Design and Ballast Water treatment.

Also on Wednesday June 8, commencing at 5 pm in the Posidonia conference hall, Wärtsilä will give a comprehensive presentation entitled 'Solutions for the new merchant shipping era & gas era'. Among the topics to be covered will be a broker's perspective on the key challenges in merchant shipping, and technology updates from Wärtsilä covering ship design, LNG & LPG cargo handling systems, propulsion developments, seals & bearings, Wärtsilä ballast water management systems, and Wärtsilä engines including the Wärtsilä 31 engine, which has been recognized by Guinness World Records as being the world's most efficient 4-stroke diesel engine.

In addition, the company proudly supports and will welcome to the stand, representatives from The PartnerShip, a platform designed to help build, educate, and fundraise within the maritime industry.

Wärtsilä is a sponsor of and participant in the 8th Posidonia Cup sailing event. The company will also participate in the 5 km running event on Saturday, June 4. The race takes place through the streets of Piraeus and proceeds will be donated to the Municipality of Piraeus and the Public Benefit Municipal Corporation of Piraeus.
