The International Maritime Human Rights Conference (IMHR) is delighted to announce its latest supporter: Sailors’ Society.

Following its recent product launch, Sailors’ Society will be showcasing its ‘BySea’ coffee to all delegates attending the IMHR Conference in London next month.

BySea coffee, the first in a planned range of products, is a new and exciting commercial venture for the international maritime charity. With 100 percent of its profits supporting the charity’s vital work offering chaplaincy, education and welfare to seafarers and their families, the coffee is both ethically sourced and socially responsible.

The first two blends from India and Brazil have been specifically chosen as Sailors’ Society is expanding its work in these countries, and the products help to share the story of producer to consumer, providing a greater understanding of how everyday items are transported by sea.

Adam Stacey, Director of Development, Sailors’ Society said: “We are delighted to support the IMHR conference, which will provide a world-first platform for maritime human rights. With the extensive focus on seafarer welfare, physiological support, seafarer education and piracy, the conference will provide a great opportunity for the industry to unite and discuss how to improve seafarer conditions in the industry. Both the Society’s work and its new commercial BySea venture means we are at the forefront of seafarer welfare and championing ethical shipping practice.”
