New Spliethoff Houston Office

The Amsterdam-based Spliethoff Group is the largest shipowner in the Netherlands. Spliethoff plays a leading role worldwide in the transport of project, heavy lift, general cargo and yachts. It owns and operates a large and modern fleet of over 50 multi-purpose, heavy lift (capacity up to 240 mts), tweendecker vessels ranging in size from 2,100 to 23,000 tons. The vessels have Ice Class Swedish/Finnish 1A up to Super 1A and all of them sail under the Dutch flag.

In order to strengthen Spliethoff’s position in the American market the company is expanding by adding highly experienced professionals and opening a new branch in Houston.

Mr. Thomas Damsgaard and Mr. Kyle Branting come from an extensive organizational and chartering background and will start-up the new Spliethoff Houston office on May 3rd, 2013.
