The evening gathered a select group of professionals to view the impressive collection of rare wine and fine artworks that the company inherited when they bought Barings Bank. All proceeds from the evening went to support the maritime charity. The group were then treated to a wine tasting in these prestigious surroundings.

It was an eagerly anticipated occasion, offering a rare chance to learn from a truly informative and engaging sommelier. The warm and friendly atmosphere provided an opportunity for guests to network and talk informally while enjoying some very high quality food and wine. The event is expected to be a hot favourite when it returns again next year.

Stephen Fewster, ING’s Global Head of Transportation said:
“All of us at ING very much enjoyed the evening, not least because it gave us the opportunity to display and discuss our history, of which we are very proud; the fact that it was for such a worthy cause made it even better.”

As ING generously covered all the costs associated with the evening, all money raised went towards the work of Sailors’ Society. Director of Fundraising, Jan Webber, commented:

“All the guests expressed delight that 100% of their ticket price was going to the Society’s work, which is an excellent message. This would not have been possible without the fantastic support of ING, to whom we are very grateful.”
