The International Workboat Show, New Orleans, La, 9th to 11th October 2013, Booth 3442

At this year’s International Workboat Show, Dometic Marine is introducing a complete, optimized package of commercial-class, water line pressurization components for its high-velocity RushFlush® toilet system.

For use in marine sanitation systems with single or multiple RushFlush toilets, this new ‘pressure package’ includes all the necessary parts – a high-capacity water pump, pressure accumulator tank, pressure gauge, check valve and pump inlet filter – to facilitate the toilet system’s installation.

Dometic Marine’s RushFlush toilet series is ideally suited to commercial and offshore vessels that accommodate high-flow toilet systems. RushFlush toilets use high-velocity water jets to macerate and flush waste, while also delivering easy plug-and-play installation, premium comfort and robust, long-lasting quality.

RushFlush is typically used in multi-head applications and requires a water supply that exceeds the flow rate normally available aboard vessels. Therefore, an important element is the reliable delivery of pressurized fresh water to the toilet. Already recommended in the installation manual, the pump has now become an integral part of the Dometic package after proving its value in a variety of applications.

Ed Todd, Director of National OEM Sales, said: “Many boat builders prefer a single-source purchase of an engineered system such as that required for a RushFlush toilet. Offering such pre-matched components with a proven record of efficiency and reliability will benefit RushFlush toilet installers more than ever in terms of easier installation and reliable, long-lasting performance in demanding marine applications.”

Featuring SeaLand’s innovative pressure-jet flushing technology, the RushFlush marine toilet provides unmatched performance. Two hyper-pressurized water lines feed a high-capacity upper rim for a thorough bowl-clearing rinse and a water jet at the bottom of the bowl that macerates and drives effluent to discharge plumbing.

The efficient system uses only 2.125 US gal/8 liters of fresh water per flush and offers adjustable flush duration to further regulate water use and maximize efficiency.

Incorporating a pre-assembled integral trap-way and discharge loop, the RushFlush takes 50-75% less time to install compared with other high-flow toilet systems. As a non-mechanical macerating system, risk of failure of the RushFlush is significantly reduced, while freshwater flushing capability eliminates plumbing system maintenance issues which are typically associated with raw/sea water systems.

The RushFlush boat toilet is a full-size, residential-style toilet with large, deep bowl and elongated seat, providing users with exceptional comfort. The toilet can be fitted with an electric handle or a wall-mounted touchpad for flushing.
