U.S. Navy Recovers Body of Missing Sailor

The United States Navy has recovered the body of a sailor from the USS Halsey, that went missing yesterday in the Gulf of Oman. The sailor was reported missing after he didn't report to watch Tuesday. After a search of the ship was conduced man overboard was announced. US and British forces conducted search and rescue operations Tuesday, and announced Wednesday morning that the body of the missing sailor had been found.
Helicopters from Halsey, USNS Rainier, and the Royal Navy's HMS Cumberland assisted in the search, as well as F/A 18 Hornets from the USS Abraham Lincoln and a P-3 maritime patrol aircraft.
The Navy says they will investigate the incident.
