K Line recently announced the addition of five 14,000 teu boxships to its fleet. Now entering into the ULCV market, they have just bought the 5th highest valued ULCV fleet in the world.

When you compare the value of these newbuild order contracts against other newbuild fleets, K Line own the 3rd highest valued fleet of newbuild ULCVs.

Ultra Large Container Vessels are categorized by having a TEU-capacity of 14,501 and higher, length of 1,200 ft and longer, beam of 160.7 ft and wider, and a draft of 49.9 ft and deeper. With a capacity of 18,270 TEU, ships of the Maersk Triple-E class class are able to transit the Suez canal.
