• THE O’BRIEN’S GROUP ANNOUNCES THE ACQUISITION OF SOLID RESOURCES, INC.

The O’BRIEN’S Group announced the acquisition of Solid Resources, Inc. (SRI), a privately held debris management and emergency assistance consulting firm based in Sarasota, Florida. SRI will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary of The O’BRIEN’S Group in parallel with its other subsidiaries, O’Brien Oil Pollution Service, Inc. and Response Management Associates, Inc.

“This is an excellent diversification opportunity that also plays to the strengths of each company,” commented Tim Perkins, CEO of The O’BRIEN’S Group. “SRI’s customers are primarily state, county and municipal governments and their services relate primarily to natural disasters, whereas O’BRIEN’S other businesses are providing primarily industrial emergency preparedness and response management services to the commercial energy and transportation sector. Therefore, each company will immediately benefit from the diversification of clients, cross-marketing of services and the synergies of operating similar lines of business with comparable personnel skill sets.”

Michelle Harvey, President of SRI, commented, “We are looking forward to the added resources this acquisition will provide, as well as the expansion of our geographical presence by leveraging The O’BRIEN’S Group offices in the Gulf of Mexico and West Coast.” Mrs. Harvey will remain with SRI to assure a smooth client transition. Gary Stankovich, Executive Vice President of The O’BRIEN’S Group, will become the President of SRI.

The O’BRIEN’S Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of SEACOR Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CKH), is the largest provider of emergency preparedness and crisis management services to the energy and international shipping industries. The O’BRIEN’S Group provides Qualified Individual and Spill Management Team services to over 160 oil & chemical companies and 350 shipping companies, representing thousands of offshore platforms, on-shore processing facilities and over 5,000 ocean-going vessels operating in U.S. territorial seas. The O’BRIEN’S Group also assists their world-wide clients with response plans, training, exercises, security and marine technical services.

Founded in 1992, SRI is a highly specialized professional consulting firm providing disaster debris management and removal monitoring services combined with emergency assistance to government sector clients for State and Federal Emergency Recovery and Mitigation Programs under Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
