Offshore Inland Marine Relocated

OIMO

Offshore Inland Marine & Oilfield Services, Inc (OIMO) has reloated from Mobile, Alabama to Pensacola, Florida. This strategic relocation will facilitate significantly increased manufacturing capabilities and efficiencies in the broad range of services OIMO provides to subsea, marine, and oilfield related businesses. Corporate personnel and operational employees are relocating to a waterfront office space at Palafox Pier while fabrication and related support facilities and personnel are located in the Port of Pensacola. OIMO’s existing engineering team will remain in Mobile.

“There are two main drivers for this decision, which we made after thorough analysis of various options for the location of our headquarters,” said Robin Roberts, President and CEO. “First, we have out-grown our 5-acre facility in Mobile and the fabrication shop is inadequate for our current book of business. Second, moving our headquarters to Pensacola will give us access to a significant talent pool to meet future recruiting needs. We are appreciative to the Mayor of Pensacola and Pensacola City Council, as well as the Pensacola Chamber of Commerce and University of West Florida Economic Development Office for their unparalleled support for the move.”

Upon completion of the relocation, OIMO expects to add at least 35 administrative positions and up to 80 fabrication positions averaging $80,000 in annual compensation. OIMO will also create numerous ancillary jobs in the support and supply sector. This noteworthy relocation will also increase overall economic activity in downtown Pensacola and build a base upon which strong economic growth can continue to occur. OIMO recognizes the Port of Pensacola as a key asset with unrealized potential deriving from direct deepwater access to the Subsea and Marine service companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico.
