Independent global satellite communications provider NSSLGlobal and professional marine electronics reseller Wrights Technologies today announce that they have formed an exclusive partnership. This alliance will see Wrights Technologies selling NSSLGlobal’s full range of maritime and land-based VSAT solutions in New Zealand alongside third party solutions such as Iridium and Inmarsat’s L-Band and Global Xpress.

Colin Mitten, CEO, Wrights Technologies said: “We have worked closely with NSSLGlobal on a number of projects in the past. It was immediately apparent that we share a tendency to go above and beyond to deliver on promises to our customers, and to keep everything we do customer-centric.”

“As a business, we are drawn to NSSLGlobal’s deep and long-standing industry expertise, its excellent reputation, 24/7 technical support offering, and its fully-owned-and-controlled global VSAT network. We are looking forward to the future with NSSLGlobal and how we can work together to provide the next step in connectivity for New Zealand’s maritime and media companies, along with defence and emergency response.”

This strategic partnership further underlines the importance of the rapidly-growing APAC market to NSSLGlobal. APAC has always been a region of major importance for the satellite communications provider, and now with the New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands covered by this partnership, NSSLGlobal will continue its commitment to the region.

“We’re continually looking to expand NSSLGlobal into new geographical areas through both strategic partners and direct customers. Penetrating the New Zealand market was a strategic decision for us, and we’re delighted to form this partnership with Wrights Technologies, one of the leading resellers in the region,” commented, Scott McBride, Global Sales Director, NSSLGlobal. “This exciting partnership offers New Zealand’s customers a combination of Wright Technologies’ local market expertise, sales support and service, alongside NSSLGlobal’s global reach, technical support, and off-the-shelf or bespoke packages. An appealing proposition.”

NSSLGlobal’s fully-owned and controlled global VSAT network, including six teleports, 23 beams and 15 satellites, will provide New Zealand’s customers with access to world-class coverage and a range of specialist solutions. This includes VSAT IP@SEA, NSSLGlobal’s dedicated maritime VSAT service (DVBS2-RCS2), offering fixed monthly fees and speeds of up to 40 Mbit/s to help guarantee vessels’ voice and data connectivity as well as its land-based VSAT service, Broad-IP.
