Edward Eastlack Joins Braemar's New Orleans Marine Division Team

Braemar Technical Services are pleased to welcome Edward Eastlack to the New Orleans office for the Marine Division as a Senior Engineer Surveyor. Edward is a marine engineer with a passion for new technologies and extensive experience and education in all aspects of marine operations, maintenance, repair, construction and vessel classification.

He began his career as an active duty US Naval Officer, later sailing in senior positions as a marine engineer aboard a wide range of government and commercial vessels (Diesel, Steam and Gas Turbine). Edward came ashore after ten years of sailing, working for a major engine manufacturer on diesel engine installations, repairs and maintenance.  Following this, he worked as technical manager for a leading offshore vessel fleet. For the past six years, Edward has served as a Senior Surveyor for the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

Projects undertaken include; marine engine repowering, overhaul, repair, retrofits and warranty replacement.  Edward has also been responsible for the construction oversight of numerous new build vessel projects.  Edward is an accomplished and published technical writer, presenter and industry technology thought leader.

Mr. Eastlack enjoys participation in many different professional groups, including ISO working groups, the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, American Society of Naval Engineers and United States Merchant Marine Academy Alumni Association. Edward holds both Bachelor and Masters of Science degrees in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York.
