A cargo ship has sunk off the coast of Oman leaving around 350 cows and their calves to swim to shore. All of the ship’s crew were rescued from the vessel which sank near Ras Al Hadd.
Local media reports the ship may have been overloaded when it sank after taking on water in heavy seas and strong winds. The vessel was on its way from Somalia to the UAE.
According to media sources, the owner of the ship is Emirati and from Ajman while the crewmen were Pakistani.
