Veson Nautical Adds 42 New Clients
Veson Nautical, the leading provider of commercial maritime software and services, today announced that despite challenging times in the shipping industry, the company has added 42 new clients from around the globe over the past 18 months. Twenty of the new clients are from the wet and gas segments, including shipping notables such as BW Maritime Pte Ltd, Dorian LPG (USA) LLC, ENGIE (formerly GDF Suez Energy Management Trading), Hoegh LNG, and PetroChina International (Singapore) Pte Ltd. Nineteen new clients include well-known dry bulk companies such as Nova Marine Carriers SA, South32 Marketing Pte Ltd and Western Bulk ASA. Trafigura Pte Ltd is one of three new clients that manage a mix of dry and wet business.
Nearly 60% of these newest members of Veson Nautical’s client community chose to implement both Veson’s Integrated Maritime Operations System (IMOS) and Veslink. IMOS, an enterprise solution that facilitates smart decisions at every stage of a voyage, has thousands of users and is fast becoming the industry standard for voyage management. Veslink, a web-based solution, is setting the standard for the collection, analysis and sharing of maritime data with thousands of vessel Masters submitting forms each month. In 2015 alone, Veson Nautical saw a 71% increase in total Veslink usage that included a 31% increase from existing Veslink clients. Three of the new client companies use Veslink as a standalone platform. The driving force behind the growth of both Veslink and IMOS are the immediate cost savings and increased visibility into growth opportunities.
“These are challenging times for the shipping industry,” stated Eva Douzinas, Veson Nautical co-founder and Co-President. “To stay afloat, many companies are having to make tough decisions on how to use their resources. Our software and services capture and transform shipping data into a usable, strategic asset that not only enables our users to spot trends, opportunities, and risk very quickly, but drives more informed decision making. Driving proactive decisions based on the vast amount of data and identifying areas for both savings and revenue growth are core to the value we provide our clients. We are honored to be able to support our clients’ businesses—especially in such trying times.”
The 42 new clients bring Veson Nautical’s prominent client community to well over 200 companies with more than 500 new IMOS users added in the past year. Meanwhile, Veslink is now used on 3,500 total vessels with nearly 800,000 Veslink transactions in the past year.
Continued Douzinas, “Our core focus in 2015 was to provide our new and existing clients with high-touch service while continually upgrading our products. We now have more than 100 employees in our offices in Boston, London, and Singapore. We have increased the size of our global client services organization by more than 23% over the past 18 months. In 2016, we are focused on raising our standards even higher and delivering new solutions to save time and money for our valued clients.”
