Med Marine Delivers ASD Tug from Turkey to Estonia

Estonian towage company, Alfons Håkans has acquired a 24-meter ASD class tug from Turkish shipbuilder Med Marine. 

The vessel is a Robert Allan design 24/45 Class Tug model. She has the length of 24.39 meters, the beam of 9.15 meters and the depth of 3.96 meters.
 
The vessel utilizes twin Caterpillar 3512C C-Rating engines which develop a total output of 2 x 1.230 BKW (2 x 1.650 BHP) at 1.800 rpm with a free sailing speed of 12.0 knots and bollard pull of 45 tons. 

The fire-fighting system has been supplied by Marsis, and it delivers 1.200m3/hr to the electrically-controlled monitor.

Two Caterpillar C4.4 gensets provide total 2 x 86 ekw electrical powers for vessel services, including the deck machinery. The vessel drives two Schottel SRP 1012 FP ASD propellers of 2.100 mm diameter. 

The tugboat has accommodation for six people. It is climate-controlled and includes a captain’s cabin, an officer cabin and two double crew cabins.
