Carleen Lyden Walker Joins Gibbs & Cox Board of Directors

Gibbs & Cox, Inc., a leading independent naval architecture and marine engineering firm, announced that Carleen Lyden Walker, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Marketing & Communications, LLC has been elected to its Board of Directors effective June 20^th, 2017.

“Ms. Walker is an important addition to the Board.  Her marketing and communications experience in the commercial maritime industry will position Gibbs & Cox for new markets such as Maritime Environmental compliance,” said President and Chief Executive Chris Deegan.

In her 40 years of professional experience, including over 25 years in shipping, she helped her clients develop business, reorganize and reposition their corporations, improve strategic planning, and manage sales.  She has provided market and financial analysis, corporate communications initiatives (advertising, public relations, and crisis media management), product and services development, and event management.  She also co-founded the North American Marine Environmental Protection Association NAMEPA, the Merchant Marine Policy Coalition, and the Consortium for International Maritime Heritage.

Walker graduated from Wellesley College, and studied at Cornell School of Business Administration.  In 2016, she was appointed an IMO Maritime Ambassador.
