Brightwell Payments Establishes Presence in Southern Europe

Brightwell Payments, an international payments platform provider and prepaid card program manager with a market leading presence in the maritime sector, today announced the appointment of Konstantinos Machairas as Vice President of Sales, Southern Europe in order to establish its presence in Greece, Cyprus and the Mediterranean to support the company’s rapidly growing business in Europe and worldwide.

With more than 10 years of sales leadership, key account management and marketing experience, Machairas joins Brightwell from Total Group of Companies, a maritime consultancy and provider of ship management services. Prior to Total Group of Companies, Machairas was involved in various key sales and marketing roles within the maritime industry in Southern Europe, including serving as sales and marketing manager at Hudson Analytix’s Greek office. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and holds a master’s degree in Business Management, Innovation and Technology from Athens Information Technology.
