With this partnership Human Rights at Sea achieved a further step to sensitize the maritime stakeholders for the holistic approach of granting human rights at sea emerging protections and remedies and its importance for the entire maritime community.

Philipp Hermes, Founder and Managing Partner, BHM Penlaw said: “Human rights are a crucial imperative of each lawyer's profession life and we are convinced that there are no boundaries for human rights. We are partnering with the Human Rights at Sea charity to raise appreciation of human rights and its protection beyond public awareness, particularly in shipping and maritime periphery."

David Hammond, CEO, Human Rights at Sea, added: "As the charity continues to develop and highlight to the international maritime community that human rights protections and remedies are not a toxic subject that should be feared, rather embraced as a commercial multiplier if applied lawfully and undertaken with due diligence, I am delighted that the partners at BHM Penlaw have decided to come on board and help us further grow our organization. We look forward to increased interaction with BHM Penlaw clients and partners to bring “Human Rights at Sea” into common language use and commercial application.”
