Sanmar, a leading tugboat manufacturer based in Turkey, delivered a new tug boat to one of its global customers. The completed construction of a new design of Rascal class, the 1500, was sold to Norwegian owner operator, Buksér og Berging AS.

Barge, as the vessel is named, was designed by Robert Allan Ltd. The tug boats hull has been carefully crafted to warrant good sea-keeping, maneuverability and steadiness in all modes of operation. Inspiration was centered around a wide array of previously successful tug designs that proved seaworthy.

The dimensions of the 1500 are as follows:

Below the main deck, two twin berth cabins house sleeping accommodations, a pantry, a communal head and restroom. Barge is being operated in Norway and will be one of many 1500’s to be built.
