Advanced Mechanical Enterprises/AMEsolutions.com proudly wrapped up their third quarter as authorized distributor for Wartsila Seals and Bearings for the state of Florida. Culminating this milestone was an invitation to attend the inaugural class of a customized educational program, specially created for authorized distributors, by Wartsila North America (WNA).

On Friday, June 14th, WNA welcomed AME to their Ft. Lauderdale facility for a comprehensive tour and educational seminar on the Enviro-Guard “PSE” Seals. AME closed for service and field work so the technical and shop teams could attend the program specifically created for distributors. AME was honored to be the first United States-based distributor to participate. The comprehensive curriculum included a demonstration of function and applications, followed by an overview of their design components. Also highlighted were the seals’ features and benefits, with hands-on installation techniques.

“Educating our team consistently is invaluable to providing our clients with excellent services,” said Rich Merhige, President, AME. Being part of this training ensures our clients get the most of their Wartsila purchase because we have intimate knowledge on the inner workings of this product. When you know better you’re able to do better.”

As an authorized distributor, AME is the sole Florida entity able to source Wartsila Seals & Bearings for the yachting sector, with possible later expansion to land-based opportunities. Complementing the product line, the company’s technical and shop teams provide high level diagnostics and services that go way beyond the traditional installation process. AME and WNA later joined forces on Thursday, September 12, co-hosting the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers (SNAME) se section meeting at the WNA Ft. Lauderdale headquarters. Rich Merhige, President AME spoke about Vibration Analysis, followed by Paul Nailor, Area Sales Manager with WNA, who presented about the Envirosafe Water lubricated Bearing. With over 50 attendees from around the country, this was the best attended chapter meeting in recent times.
