Underwater Mariner Services Appoints Capt. Eric Clarke as CEO

About Capt. Eric Clarke

Prior to joining Underwater Mariner Services Capt. Clarke headed Worldwide Marine Operations for Noble Drilling, a fortune 500 company. Previously he was Managing Director at Imtech Marine (Radio Holland), in charge of the Americas services divisions.

From 2005 to 2013, he headed the Americas region for Australian based vetting specialist RightShip, being an integral part of the initial team growing the company into the largest independent vetting company in the world.

Prior to RightShip, Capt. Clarke headed the Seafarer’s Documentation and Certification Dept. of the Liberian flag and was an adviser at the International Maritime organization, IMO. His first position ashore was with Euronav, where he was one of the early employees, helping the company from the initial stages until it was sold 5 years later.

He has consulted for the US Coast Guard and the US Navy on various projects and holds both a Captain and Chief Engineer’s unlimited license. He has undertaken an MIT/Sloan executive education program and studied Maritime Law at Southampton University.

He is Chairman of the Board of Youth Sail, an innovative non-profit organization based in St Petersburg, Florida with a unique approach to getting kids and adults into sailing.
