OSWALD PM Motors Enter in Marine Industry

OSWALD Elektromotoren GmbH produces customized, compact electric motors and generators. The motors are compact and robust, with high power density, low inertia and high dynamic. The range includes PM high-torque motors, PM synchronous motors, AC induction motors and PM linear motors. At the Electric & Hybrid Marine World Expo 2016 in Amsterdam, OSWALD will present PM motors for main propulsion, thrusters, winches and related marine applications, from 10kW up to 3.5MW.

The company is more than 100 years old and has long experience with speed-regulated AC and PM motors. For the last 10 years OSWALD has delivered motors for marine applications, with approval by classification societies. Latest deliveries include PM motors for main propulsion systems from 55kW up to 800kW. Latest technologies in research and development, close link between the electrical and mechanical engineering and sales department help to find the best solutions.
