Norwegian Servogear Secures Several Contracts
During the last two months of 2014, Servogear signed six new contracts in a total value of 55 million NOK.
The contracts involve supplying the Controllable Pitch Propeller system, Servogear Ecoflow Propulsor, to 10 vessels worldwide. The vessels all have different purposes, and will operate within wind farm service, offshore, offshore patrol, as well as an repetition order of the much talked about Super yacht 48m SuperSport, from the American designer and shipyard Palmer Johnson.
Although the maritime industry is experiencing an uncertain period, Servogear has gone against the stream and secured several solid contracts for the future. We are in a situation where we have covered the order books for 2015, and we have a good inflow of contracts to fill the order books for 2016. This is a result of strong references and a long-term strategy, where we have been working towards the offshore- and wind farm market, says Torleif Stokke, Managing Director in Servogear.
Servogear has an increased intake of orders and the activity is high. The previous year has gained them with 12 new employees, and there are in total 54 employees at Rubbestadneset today. We are in a constant need for new assets to our team, especially within our main subject – hydrodynamics, Stokke says.
