Maritime Holdings Group, Norwegian Cruise Line and the University of California Riverside will conduct a Shipboard Purser, Accounting and Administration Management training course onboard the new cruise ship Norwegian Escape on a seven-day Caribbean cruise departing Miami on September 16, 2017.

The objective of the training program is to familiarize the participants to the various tasks typical of the purser/administration positions on modern cruise ships and at the same time give them the opportunity of a direct learning experience of shipboard life.

The theoretical part of the course will be conducted in a classroom format by professional trainers under the guidance of teachers from the University of California Riverside, while the practical part will involve meetings with shipboard managers and supervisors as well as interaction with onboard activities.

The cost of the entire program, which includes the seven-day cruise in shared passenger cabin, all educational materials, training and final certification is US$2,500.

The successful completion of the training program will enable participants to be interviewed by cruise line representatives in view to start a career in the cruise industry from a position of junior officers in the fields of purser, accounting and/or administration management. Although we cannot guarantee all participants will be hired, this program offers the unique opportunity to be in contact with shipboard management while on the ship.
