Marcura and DA-Desk Open Representative Office in Copenhagen

The Marcura Group, a Dubai-based group of companies focused on providing innovative business solutions to the maritime industry, today announced the opening of Marcura Nordics ApS, their Scandinavian representative office located in Copenhagen, Denmark.

With a growing Scandinavian customer base in the Group’s flagship company, DA-Desk, as well as its other portfolio businesses, Marcura views the opening of a regional office as a critical part of the Group’s strategy to continue to place service functions and innovation programs even closer to its customers.

As Jens Lorens Poulsen, Group CEO explains: “Many of our Scandinavian customers have been with us since inception of DA-Desk in 2001, and while we have always made an effort to meet them and our global customers wherever their home turf may be, the increasing dialogue with our customers and the industry requires this regional presence. We are incredibly pleased to announce Marcura Nordics as our representative office in the region and are looking forward to engaging with the Scandinavian maritime community to an even greater extent.”

The Group currently has offices in Dubai, India, UK, Japan and USA, and representatives in Germany, Hong Kong and Greece. It is also slated to open an office in Singapore before the end of the year. The Copenhagen office will have Group representatives to support the Group’s regional customers, engage with industry partners and facilitate the growing user-focused innovation programs.

“Marcura Nordics is located in Hellerup, a perfect location because it is close to many of our customers,” says Hans-Christian Mordhorst, Managing Director of DA-Desk. “We have our first employee, Janie Kristensen, Business Development Manager for Marcura’s Venture portfolio, already engaging with the local community, while the Director of Marcura Nordics is to be announced shortly.
