AVEVA Partners with VISIA and STE-HUST

AVEVA announced the beginning of a very important partnership with two leading institutions in Vietnam, the Shipbuilding Industry Association (VISIA) and The School of Transportation Engineering of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (STE-HUST). These strategic partnerships will enable VISIA & STE-HUST to offer cutting edge engineering and design software to its members, as well as, support systematic training programs. These programs will be focused on software implementation in the oil & gas, petrochemical, power and marine industries throughout Vietnam.

‘For VISIA, this agreement represents the realization of our latest strategy. The intention is to transform the competitiveness of VISIA members in the current industry’ explains Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Su, President of Vietnam Shipbuilding Association. ‘AVEVA is present and active in Vietnam and our collaboration will make the delivery of the solution seamless for the members’, Mr. Su adds.

STE-HUST’s programs, are also designed to serve the needs of industry, so this partnership is key for future proofing and supporting the latest trends in the industry.

Prof. Le Anh Tuan, Dean of School of Transportation Engineering (STE-HUST) explained ‘AVEVA software will give us an opportunity to upskill our students up to the international standards required by the oil & gas, petrochemical, power and marine industries. Our students will have access to the international training experience with AVEVA’s industry leading engineering software which will give them valuable practical experience in AVEVA Marine.

‘We are very happy to be a part of VISIA and STE-HUST’s strategic direction to raise the standards of the shipbuilding industry and enhance the profile of engineering in the region and to meet with the demand for skilled engineers in Vietnam.

AVEVA has successfully implemented academic initiatives in other parts of the world including in Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, Singapore, India, Taiwan and China. We look forward to seeing more positive results from this academic initiative in Vietnam’, said Natrajh V Narayann, Senior Vice President, Operations AVEVA Asia Pacific.
