ARC Announces New Officers and Directors

American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier has announced the appointment of Officers and Directors resulting from a re-organization as from October 1, 2015.

Eric P. Ebeling has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier, LLC (ARC), whose principal business is providing US Flag Ro-Ro shipping service in international trade. Mr. Ebeling has held several executive roles with ARC since joining the Group in 2003, and has been President and COO since June, 2012.

Mr. Ebeling is a graduate of American University Washington College of Law (JD Law, 2001), American University School of International Service (MA International Studies, 2001), and Bowdoin College (AB Government & English, 1998). In 2013, Mr. Ebeling completed the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business Advanced Management Program. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association.

Raymond F. Fitzgerald has been named Chairman of the Board of ARC. Mr. Fitzgerald was President of ARC from 2007-2011 and is now President Atlantic Area of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics.

Mr. Fitzgerald is a graduate of Saint Francis University and holds degrees in Economics and Business Management with a Finance concentration. Mr. Fitzgerald attended Fairleigh Dickinson University for graduate studies, and has completed executive education programs at the University of Chicago.

General John W. Handy (USAF Retired) will continue as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of ARC, where he has served since 2006.

General Handy retired as the Commander of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), the transportation manager for all air, land and sea transportation for the Department of Defense, and is widely recognized as a pre-eminent mobility and logistics expert.

Raymond P. Ebeling, Chairman and CEO of ARC since 1990, will retire at year-end.

American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier is the largest U.S.-flag Ro-Ro carrier, and the third largest U.S.-flag carrier operating in international trade. Founded in 1990, the company provides American-owned, managed, and crewed Ro-Ro shipping services committed to the requirements of the Department of Defense, other US Government Departments and commercial customers.
