Solace Global Appoints New Commercial Director as Business Expands
Solace Global, the world's most trusted provider of security in maritime, offshore and land-based environments, today announces the appointments of three new, key members of staff. The role of Commercial Director has been filled by David Eaton-Jones, Head of Intelligence by Stuart Barnett and Training Consultant by Mark Knowles.
Since its establishment in 2010, Solace Global has been safeguarding the maritime industry and its assets across the globe, quickly becoming one of the world’s premier private maritime security companies (PMSC). In response to client demands, Solace Global has developed its portfolio of services and global footprint across a broad range of industries and environments. Part of this expansion has involved the appointments of key members of staff to provide experience and expertise in new areas.
David Eaton-Jones heads up the business development and marketing team which is based in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East and supports Solace Global’s growing client base. David also oversees the company’s corporate event programme through which Solace Global has been key to shaping best practice in the industry. David has led international business development teams in a variety of organisations including Ernst and Young and IHS Jane’s. Prior to his business career David was an officer in the British Army.
Stuart Barnett has the role of Head of Intelligence for Solace Global which involves the timely provision of intelligence and security advice to Solace clients. Stuart has a wealth of experience that he brings to this role, including specialising in security risk management and intelligence in the British military. During this time Stuart gained operational experience providing intelligence and support during a number of national maritime operations and exercises. Stuart has also spent over 5 years in high risk land based environments including Iraq, the Former Yugoslavia and Afghanistan. Most recently Stuart went onto specialise in counter-sabotage and operational resilience for critical national infrastructure.
Mark Knowles advises the training team at Solace Global which provides best in class training for security personnel across a range of disciplines such as: firearms, medical, Rules for the Use of Armed Force (RuF) and close protection courses. The programme guarantees that Solace Global has highly trained and audited operators to support all client requirements. Mark’s extensive knowledge of the maritime security industry stems from 33 years service in UK Special Forces and the Royal Marines.
