RAACI Delivers Hybrid Diesel Electric Propulsion System to Bordelon Marine

RAACI has been contracted by Bordelon Marine, to design and supply Hybrid Diesel Electric Propulsion equipment to outfit the Stingray Series 260 Class DP2 PSVs. Robichaux Automation and Control, Incorporated (RAACI) is delivering more and more diesel electric propulsion systems to the local maritime industry. When asked about this Vice President Dennis Robichaux replied “The list of customers that we are delivering equipment to continues to grow. In fact our current back log is higher than its been in the history of the company with more opportunities to come“

RAACI is under contract to provide a complete diesel electric system including two 480 VAC water cooled Active Front End (AFE) Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) to control two 950 HP electric bow thrusters, one 480 VAC Ship Service Switchboard (SWBD), one Emergency SWBD and four Motor Control Centers. In addition, RAACI will provide an Engineer’s Operating Station (EOS), an ABS ACCU, DPS-2 approved Alarm, Monitoring and Power Management system all to be installed on Bordelon Marine's new Stingray Series 260 Class DP2 PSVs.

After a successful ABS factory test, RAACI has delivered their Certified Diesel Electric System to Bordelon Maine on time and on budget. RAACI continues to work closely with Bordelon Marine to support the vessel build schedule as well as support all RAACI equipment on the vessels.
