Noatum Signs Collaboration Contract with Volvo Penta

• Sets up the basis for a partnership between both companies

• Noatum will have access to original Volvo spares for the terminals with very favorable economic terms, as well as direct factory support for technical and commercial issues

• Volvo Penta strengthens the relationship with the top port operator in Spain, both at technical and commercial levels, and will have first-hand knowledge on their  products and applications

On January 11th Noatum signed a framework contract with Volvo Penta that includes spares supply and technical assistance for the terminals. This agreement sets up the basis for a partnership between both companies, where Noatum will have access to original spares for their terminals all around the Iberian Peninsula and Canary Islands.

Volvo Penta is a world-leading supplier of engines and complete power systems for marine and industrial applications. Noatum will have direct factory access for technical issues in addition to being updated on the latest technological innovations and developments.

In the words of Erwin Thomsen, Noatum’s Operations Manager, “this agreement with Volvo Penta means a great technical improvement, as it allows us to combine spares supply with direct technical assistance with a unique supplier, creating efficient communication between the two companies”.

In the words of Tomás Perona, Network Manager of Volvo Penta in Spain, “this agreement strengthens our strategy at terminals, guarantees the supply of all original components for one of the main port operators of the market, and assures the availability of machines, as well as opening the doors to other business areas of Noatum in the future”.

This agreement also means a new positioning for Volvo Penta, who becomes a preferential supplier for future Noatum equipment. The company has a wide range of engines and complete power systems for marine and industrial applications, with worldwide leading innovations, such as IPS marine propulsion systems, and the use of SCR cutting-edge technology to comply with strict emissions regulations for the industrial sector.
