Published May 31, 2014 8:50 PM by The Maritime Executive

Dalby Offshores latest jet vessels the 23m Dalby Swale and the 21m Dalby Wharfe have completed very successful sea trials offshore at Great Yarmouth in the UK both with a top speed of 32 knots.

Steve Bartram, Dalby Offshore operations manager said “Both vessels have the revolutionary interceptor plate stability control system, the lowest noise levels recorded for a crew transfer vessel (CTV) and higher comfort levels due to a new floating wheelhouse design.”

Both vessels are built by Alicat workboats and will be ready to start work early June.

Dalby Offshore recently secured a long term charter to supply one of its 21m CTV’s to Siemens Energy service. The 2013 built Dalby Trent will be working on the Lynn and Inner Dowsing wind farm, which is approximately 5km off the Lincolnshire coast, east of Skegness, UK. Operating out of the port of Grimsby, the vessel will be carrying out crew and equipment transfers for Siemens supporting ongoing operations and maintenance requirements.
