New Chairman of the Board in SEAHEALTH
Søren Sørensen, chairman at the Danish Seamen’s Union, has after 4 years as chairman passed on the position to Michael Wengel-Nielsen, director of the Offshore dept. at Danish Shipowners’ Association.
Søren Sørensen continues his work in the SEAHEALTH board as vice chairman. This way continuity in the chairmanship is maintained.
Michael Wengel-Nielsen states that he looks forward to continue his work in the SEAHEALTH board as chairman and maintaining the good cooperation with Søren Sørensen and the secretariat.
“SEAHEALTH has a strong position within occupational environment, and I am a strong supporter of continuing the work being done to promote the organization both nationally and internationally. Furthermore SEAHEALTH’s work with the occupational environment in the offshore wind sector is very important. It is essential both now and in the future that SEAHEALTH works to raise awareness on how to create a good working environment through dialogue with both shipowners and seafarers, and it is critical that the organization’s messages and activities reach the seafarers” says Michael Wengel-Nielsen.
