Intellian Introduces Three New FleetBroadband Hardware Solutions

Intellian, the world’s technological leader in marine satellite antennas, has introduced three new solutions for the Inmarsat FleetBroadband (FB) networks with innovative new features and stylish design radomes as the latest additions to its line of satellite communication antenna systems.

The FB150, the FB250 and the FB500 comprise a robust and feature-rich product line supported by Intellian’s industry-leading three year warranty. All three terminals of the new Intellian FB product line include a broad range of IP and networking related value-added features such as IP routing, Firewall capability and vessel fleet tracking.

The Intellian FB150 is a high performance satellite communication solution designed to provide global, high quality data and voice for business, operational or recreational applications in a compact size and light weight ADU (Above Deck Unit) with the optional matching dome solution and simple user installation.

The Intellian FB250 enables the opportunity to enter the broadband arena for commercial vessels providing all the required functions. A low initial investment and the per MB pricing of the Inmarsat FleetBroadband service reduces the communication cost despite the increase in functionality and frequency of use. Users can be confident that the rugged and reliable design, engineered for professional use, means it will take on any harsh marine environment.

The Intellian FB 500 is set to revolutionize ship operation and communication with the fastest yet cost-effective FleetBroadband service. It is designed specifically for intensive use onboard merchant and offshore vessels whilst being ideally suited to large fishing and workboat applications at the same time.

All three new products complement Intellian’s GX hardware and are XpressLink systems capable. They all have three-year warranty and all feature intuitive, easy to use interface, with fleet tracking and ‘Geofencing’. Inmarsat’s global broadband I4 satellite coverage and are compliant with XL and ATC future services. All three provide simultaneous voice and data service, have compact and reliable hardware, IP connection for e-mail, Internet, fax and SMS, LAN interface and single-user and multi-user router features, IP Handset interface, matching dome solutions with the Intellian TVRO systems, and are available worldwide from Intellian’s global depots (US, Korea, Netherlands, and the UK).

Weighing just 4.4kg (9 lbs) and 44cm (17.3 inches) high, both the Intellian FB150 and FB250 are compact FleetBroadband maritime terminals. The FB150 has 150kbps data rates and the FB250 has 284kbps data rates, so both provide simultaneous access to data services, voice and text messaging. Meanwhile the FB500 weighs 15.5kg (34.1 lbs) and is 71.8cm (28.3 inches) high, with 432kbps data rates. These three Intellian FB products are each competitively priced at $7,300 for the FB150; $11,000 for the FB250; and $17,000 for the FB500 – all prices are in US dollars.
