ISP Secures Largest Single Order in Company's History

Liverpool-based marine firm International Safety Products (ISP) has recently manufactured and delivered 6,500 twin chamber lifejackets for the Polish Army, the largest ever single order in the company's history.

ISP managing director John Rogers [pictured above] said the order was secured through its distribution partner in the country, and is part of an overall contract worth in excess of £1.2m.

Key to ISP winning the order was the ability to offer lifejackets to the exact specification requested, as well as being able to manufacture and deliver in the very short time frame required by the end user.

Mr Rogers said ISP - which is one of the world's largest manufacturers of inflatable marine lifejackets - is enjoying considerable growth in the defence and military sector following recent deals with the UK Ministry of Defense (MoD) and the Royal Netherlands Navy.

"Securing the largest single order in our history is a real landmark moment for ISP and we are thrilled to see further progress in the Eastern European markets," Mr Rogers said.

"We see great potential for our high quality lifejackets with the military in Poland. We manufactured these in our factory on Merseyside and then exported to the Polish Army for use in some of the most demanding and hazardous environments in the world. This deal again helps to showcase ISP's design and manufacturing capabilities being able to deliver bespoke products tailored to the individual needs on a major scale."

"The defense sector is a key target market for ISP," said Mr Rogers. "Units of lifejackets manufactured in our last financial year rose from 103,000 to 115,000. Within this period lifejacket sales to the military sector rose by 69pc. Our mission is to continue driving profile and awareness of the ISP brand as a leading international supplier of marine safety equipment."
