grupoarbulu, the largest marine electronic group in Spain and one of the largest in Europe, has acquired 100% of the Danish group NAVTEAM A/S, one of the market leaders in marine electronics service for commercial vessels in Denmark and most active worldwide.

It is with great pride and joy that grupoarbulu and NAVTEAM announce this strategic partnership.

Iñaki Arbulu, CEO of grupoarbulu says: “To reflect our continuing success and to enable us to deal with our future growth plans it was very important for us to incorporate to our group a leading player like NAVTEAM. NAVTEAM is formed by an excellent team of highly qualified professionals specialized in marine electronic service with a strong international mindset, and we have no doubt that this partnership will be to mutual benefit”.

Jens Byrdal, Managing Director and CEO of NAVTEAM says: “The strong and determined effort of our entire team has made NAVTEAM what it is today. We have an excellent platform, but this new partnership with grupoarbulu will provide us with unique opportunities to combine our network of service stations and thus strengthen our capabilities further to service and support our customers worldwide”.

Jens Byrdal continues: “This is a great opportunity for our employees, our customers and our suppliers who will all benefit from the enlarged group. NAVTEAM will continue to trade as an independent company within the group and we become a truly global company”.

NAVTEAM was founded 1st September 2001 by Jens Byrdal. The shareholding company was established in 2002 together with Sales Manager Johannes Christensen. Going forward the structure and management will remain the same. Jens Byrdal will remain Managing Director and CEO and Johannes Christensen will remain Sales Manager. Both will continue their daily involvement in the company and they are both very excited about joining forces with grupoarbulu.
