GTT (Gaztransport & Technigaz) announced the notification of two LNGCs (Liquefied Natural Gas Carriers) which will be built by the Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).

GasLog, a Monaco-based shipping company, has ordered two large-scale LNGCs from the shipbuilder specifying the use of GTT technology. GTT, world leader in the design of membrane containment systems for the maritime transportation and storage of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) received notification from HHI for these new orders in June 2014.

These two large vessels are expected to be delivered in 2017 and will be built with the Mark III Flex membrane technology which allows for an optimized daily boil-off rate of cargo LNG.

Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT declared “We are delighted that our long-time partners have selected to use the GTT technology for their newest LNGCs”.
