Deep Down Receives Orders Totaling $4.2 Million
Deep Down, an oilfield services company specializing in complex deepwater and ultra-deepwater oil production distribution system support services, has received two orders for flying leads, umbilical termination heads (UTH) and semi-rigid jumpers.
The first order was received from an international controls OEM for ten semi-rigid jumpers for deployment offshore Western Australia in 1,000ft (305m) of water. The second order is from a small U.S. based independent exploration and production company for three flying leads and six UTH assemblies for deployment in the Gulf of Mexico in 2,000ft (610m) of water.
Ron Smith, CEO of Deep Down (DDI) said: "We are delighted with the orders, they further reaffirm our marketing, engineering and project execution efforts aren't going unnoticed by our clients. We are honored that our clients have entrusted DDI with mission critical equipment."
The orders follow orders totaling $3.7m in November for steel tube flying leads and associated services in the Gulf of Mexico and West Africa. The first order is for 14 steel flying leads and ancillary equipment. Delivery is scheduled for deployment in over 5,300ft (1,615m) of water in the Gulf of Mexico in the second quarter of 2014. The second order is a long-term contract to supply flying lead installation support equipment and personnel; equipment and personnel will be mobilized in West Africa within the first few weeks of 2014 through the end of the third quarter of 2014.
