CIMC Raffles Builds Gas Compression Jackup
Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CIMC Group, has secured an order from a Malaysian company Thaumas Marine which is a Coastal Contracts subsidiary to build a gas compression jackup unit which is based on CIMC’s Taisun 200B design.
The jackup is scheduled to be delivered in 2015 and will be put to service for Pemex in the Gulf of Mexico. The charter contract is for a period of eight years with an extension option up to twelve years.
The jackup is supported by four cylindrical legs, with leg length 112 meters. It is capable of operating at water depths up to 55 meters and able to process gas up to 200 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). The design temperature is from 0-45 degrees Celsius. The jackup is classed by ABS.
Coastal Contracts is a Malaysian company that provides marine products and services to the shipping, oil and gas and commodities industries. Coastal’s main services include building, chartering, repairing, and trading of marine vessels and offshore products.
